Michael Timothy's is small but mighty, keeping things cozy within warm brick and modern art-covered walls. The wood-fired oven is a centerpiece here and a good way to start a meal is to share a pizza right out of that oven, like the sweet cherry pepper, sausage and prosciutto with five cheeses. Seafood appetizers are another favorite, especially baked Nova Scotia oysters with oven-dried tomatoes and a spinach hollandaise. The top sirloin of lamb is also wood-grilled with ramps and lamb ragù and for dessert, a trio of little fruit pies come with a house-made sweet sour cream ice cream. Perfect with the live jazz playing most nights.
