Downtown Joe's Restaurant and Brewery Description:
As befits a proper brewpub, hefty burgers with a side of fries is the norm. But don't discount Downtown Joe's selection of salads, most notably the Great Northwest chopped salad made up of chopped greens, Washington apples, raisins, Oregon blue cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. More substantial entrées include pesto Chinook salmon and 30-day aged Angus sirloin steak with a brandy-peppercorn sauce. Mostly you will see locals sampling one of the house brews. With eight different ales and stouts made from a recipe collection of more than 20 varieties, start with a sampler that could include favorites such as the Lazy Summer American Wheat, the Tantric India Pale Ale or the Leprechaun Worthy Stout. Indoor and outdoor dining overlooks the nearby Napa River and packs them in early with daily happy hour specials. The outdoor seating is dog-friendly and a late-night crowd throngs when there's live entertainment.
