Review :
Took my wife out for dinner to Generations, what a mistake.
I had the ribeye steak dinner marinated in beer, regularly priced at 19.99 but was on special for 17.99. It came with salad, baked potato and rolls.
Once my dinner was served to me I preceded to "dig in". It turned out that the steak was 60% fat. When I had finished the meal over half of the steak was left on the plate in the form of all the fat I had to cut off it. The few bites I got from the steak were pretty good, but way too much fat for 17.99!
I usually give a 15% tip when service and food are good, but decided that since the steak was mostly fat that I would only tip 10%. Little did I know that I would be cornered into a 15% tip...
When it came time to pay the bill the guy walked up to the table with a device in his hand that looked something like a cell phone with a electronic pen attached to it for customers to sign for debit/credit card payment and explained to me how to use it for payment. On the screen of the device, he explained as he stared down at the device while I was using it, was the option of, no tip, 15%, 20% or 25% tip. I then asked him..where is the option to leave a 10% tip since the steak was mostly fat. He then rudely repeated himself about the options for leaving a tip...while he stared down at the device I was using..so he could see which option I chose. At that point I clicked the 15% tip option because I didn't want to leave the waitress, who was very friendly, no tip (although, I would have no problem leaving this rude SOB no tip).
Since I was cornered into leaving the 15% tip, I will never return to Generations again.
