The Carnivore Description:
If you had not guessed already this is not a restaurant for vegetarians, although it does serve one or two vegetarian dishes. Situated about 15 minutes from town the Carnivore is a sprawling, open-air affair modelled on Brazilian roast meat restaurants. The meat is cooked on large open charcoal pits. It serves every kind of meat that you can think of: venison, beef, pork, lamb, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, impala and goat. The spare ribs and fish (which must be ordered beforehand) are first class and you may eat as much as you want and more. The choice of four cocktails are worth their weight in vodka and the list of desserts is unusually long for Nairobi. Children may be seen and heard in the playground which is provided outside.
