I have never come to Montreal and not dined at Moishe's...ever. It is simply one of my top five steakhouses on the entire North American continent. A must venue for steak, veal, lamb...extraordinaire!

What can you say about Montreal premiere steakhouse except fabulous. The service is great, they know how to cater to families bringing kids their own "drinks", Shirley Temples, sperating the plates for them, and stuffing their hands with bubblegum (thanks David) on the way out. The quality and value are unmatched.

Yes you still get good quality meet - but with all the extras when you look at the final bill its not my favourite anymore. Good restaurant to scope who else is there but generally a little loud.

I feel very sorry for those of you who have not tried, or enjoyed Moishe's Steak House - they are missing out a cornerstone in steak life in Montreal.
I have been lucky enough to be coming to Moishe's all my life, my first time was just after my birth with my parents and grandparents! Throughout the years, everything has remained the same... the bread still as fresh as possible and the coleslaw still something that you have to force yourself to stop eating so that you can enjoy the actual meal. The only thing they have removed from the menu that used to be a favorite of mine was the ECRA (too bad, it was so good). Finally, the Steak.. packed with flavour and juices and marbled to perfection it is one of the best in the city. For a real treat, try the Teriyaki Shish Kebab- but make sure someone orders the rib eye steak so that you can share 'cause you always have to have the steak.
Finally the desserts... As a kid, there was nothing like the dessert tray, laying on the table forcing you to decide what to have.
Writing this is making me miss it.. going to make a reservation now... yumm!
