La Cage aux Sports Description:
If you're a fan of sports bars in Montreal then you're probably well acquainted with La Cage Aux Sports. The Bell Center location is a sprawling affair attached to one of the larger sports centers and concert venues in town. It looks, more or less, like a large upscale cafeteria with a slew of giant screens and a youthful waitstaff busily filling orders and making the rounds. The menu is family-friendly with the usual assortment of burgers, wings and ribs plus a selection of salads, wraps and sandwiches for those who are more health conscious. But don't let your expectations run too high. The potato skins ordered as an entrée aren't crispy and hold tasteless melted cheese with not nearly enough bacon. A main course of ribs with fries and coleslaw is reliably good. The portions are generous, so save room if dessert is desired.
