I was not too impressed when we recently attented a party at this restaurant. Although the building and decor where very nice, the upstairs had a long climb and no elevator.
Food was okay - but nothing to write home about and the waiters seemed to be put off when serving food.
The icing on the cake was when were we not told the tip was included on the table-hote for the group (no receipt was given just a price) and we tipped the waiter twice al the while he kept his silence but thanking me.
I humbly believe there are far better restaurants then this for the price.

I went to Chez Queux a few years back because I wanted to try something new and this name just popped out. Hidden in an old building in Old Montreal, you wouldn't think to find such a cozy, atmospheric and authentic little French restaurant. It's quite a bit fancier than I anticipated with several small rooms and intimate tables. Dimly lit and quiet, this is an ideal place for good conversation. Getting your appetite going with a free offering of pate and crackers, the service is outstanding. They staff what seem to be extremely professional and knowledgeable staff who can pair a perfect wine to whatever you're eating. It can get pretty pricy as well, but overall the experience is amazing and something I should do again very soon.
