Super Smokers Bbq Description:
Super Smokers is a well-known name in St. Louis, and its big red barn is a landmark along the route to the Six Flags theme park. It's a good place to become acquainted with local sauces and cuts, particularly the ribs and notable pork steak, which is slow-smoked and basted. Although Missouri is, generally speaking, pork barbecue territory, this place does a fine beef brisket as well. The sides are good, and we like to pair them with non-traditional fare from time to time: barbecue-topped nachos, BLTs with smoked bacon and club sandwiches with smoked turkey or chicken. There's another location in St. Peters (1365 Jungermann Rd., 636-922-5574) as well as outlets in several Dierbergs grocery stores, but this original location can't be beat for down-home ambience.
