Wapango Description:
St. Louis is fortunate to have some notable eateries on its malls' peripheries, and Wapango is one of them. The décor is pleasantly un-mall-like, dark and spacious with interesting artwork. The fare is mostly Central and South American, with lots of familiar faces (empanadas, ceviche, tacos, enchiladas). Still, there are unexpected dishes, too, like the Brazilian stew moqueca and Colombian arepas, white corn cakes topped with shredded pork or chicken. Save room for the cuatro leches cake. You may have to walk a few more laps around the mall to burn it off, but it's worth it.
