This western location completes a trio of family-run Greek restaurants with a reputation that hasn't changed in decades. Young families and groups of friends have always appreciated Spiro's attitude toward shared plates (or meze, as they're known today). They're good here, as simple as feta cheese and olives, while others show more complexity. We like the avgolemono soup; dolmas are a favorite, too. Leg of lamb is properly marinated and cooked, and we also recommend the kebabs and shank. Avoid the twice-baked potato to leave more room for the Greek pastries and wildly strong, sweet Greek coffee, which is made tableside. Servers, showing considerable style, don't assume that everyone knows Greek food despite its popularity.
