Award-winning Executive Chef Mike Engel opened The Winds Steakhouse in April 2000 to provide top-notch dining in a warm, inviting environment. As guests enter The Winds, they are welcomed with a view of more than 130 wines, prominently displayed in a beautiful oak rack. In addition to its extensive wine list, The Winds is known for offering fine cuts of beef, seafood and original selections. Signature items include an 18-ounce rib eye served with house-made peppercorn demi glace, a 30-ounce Porterhouse steak with maitre'd butter and the Winds salad -- a unique combination of fresh strawberries, pears and field greens tossed with a roasted apple vinaigrette and served with candied walnuts and Gorgonzola croutons.
