Kincaid's Fish, Chop and Steakhouse Description:
Given its location in the atrium of a glass office tower, we have trouble believing that this all-American restaurant wins people over with its ambience. Sure, the trees are dotted with sparkling Christmas lights year-round, but the corporate art on the walls and the unremarkable furniture remind us of a hotel restaurant. Though the service is topnotch---prompt without being overbearing and the waiters think of your next desire just a few seconds before you do---the food is lackluster. We like the green pea salad, an interesting mix of fresh baby peas in a creamy, peppery dressing, and the standard but still-good crab and artichoke dip for starters. Kincaid's is famous for its rock-salt roasted prime rib, but its steaks are worthy too. Still, for the price, we feel we could get better grilled items, and better atmosphere, elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want a safe bet for impressing a client, Kincaid's speaks the language of the expense account meal.
