Swig is a small plate dining restaurant, and is meant to be a shared experience where guests can try several menu items in one visit. The restaurant seats 125, and the lounge can legally hold 390.
Valet parking is available Thu.-Sat. from 5p.m. until closing.
A wood-burning fireplace and incandescent filament bulbs bathe the sleek dining room in a warm glow. Snuggled above the street, Swig overlooks the bustling action below, making it a good destination for people-watchers and foodies alike. Chef Frank Ortlieb offers an array of small plates---try the tempura snap peas or the black bean cakes with cilantro sour cream---as well as dishes for heftier appetites, like pan-seared beef tenderloin with wild mushroom risotto, fried parsley and roasted tomato coulis. Check out the creative libations, such as The Wasabi---wasabi, vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup---or The Squid with raspberry vodka, Chambord, peach schnapps, Blue Curaçao and cranberry juice.
