Only the Bartolotta family---who are legendary in the Milwaukee dining scene---would dare to create a quintessential French restaurant in the middle of a park. Overlooking Lake Michigan in a former pavilion, the restaurant features a menu of bistro classics and more elaborate (and expensive) contemporary specialties orchestrated by chef Adam Siegel. In the typical French manner, a different plat du jour is offered every day of the week. Entrées include pan-seared Strauss lamb loin with braised French green lentils, baby carrots and thyme-infused lamb jus; roasted wild striped sea bass with sautéed Swiss chard, puréed potatoes and light beef jus; and Dover sole, served with French beans and oyster mushrooms-accented potatoes (it's filleted tableside). The elaborate Sunday brunch is a local favorite. Pair your meal with one of a hundred French wines.
