A Northville institution before Northville was cool, Guernsey Farms (or simply Guernsey's) is justly renowned for serving down-to-earth, mainstream American food as well as treats from its in-house dairy. Its sandwiches are rewarding, but the broasted chicken may be the best thing on the menu. Be sure to save room for Guernsey's own butter pecan ice cream. In warmer months, the grassy area out front is often sprinkled with kids and adults licking cones under the big burr oak.
