Sister restaurant to South Beach's hopping Sport Café, here Rosinella Doino, the middle-aged mama of Italian proprietor Tonino Doino, has set up shop. Rosinella herself oversees preparation of the homemade pastas and the rustic entrées that make her namesake restaurant a favorite of Miami's Italian population, and for good reason. She's often there, informally wrapped in a flour-coated apron, dreaming up specials and directing her able staff. The gnocchi, airy and delicate, are made fresh daily, as are the breads and other pastas. Glistening salmon carpaccio is truly special. Easy on the wallet, and a great spot for family feasting and small parties, Rosinella neighbors the New World Symphony, which occasionally nourishes patrons' ears with music.
