Because Las Vacas Gordas, which translates as The Fat Cows, offers delicious one-pound tri-tip, flap meat, skirt and N.Y. strip steaks that are marinated, tossed onto the parilla (grill) and served with scorching chimichurri on the side---for under $10. Sides and salads cost extra, but that's still quite a deal. Try the melt-in-your-mouth Argentine chicken or beef empanadas while you're waiting. The buzz in the dining room can be surprisingly energizing, but those who prefer to dine without the din can request a table outdoors.
