Bond Street Description:
Once you enter the Art Deco Townhouse hotel, head downstairs to BondSt. Sushi, sashimi and sakés are the order of the day, and few do it with the flair of sushi artist Keisuke Harada. Plop down into one of the comfy banquettes or oversize chairs, or, if dining alone, make friends by sitting at the rectangular communal table that centers the space. The sushi rolls are dazzling, unique and undeniably delicious---yellowtail gets rolled with scallions and fried shallot chips, lobster tempura with yellow tomato dressing and a drizzle of chive oil, eel with spicy pepper and sliced almond. Slivers of delicate whitefish sashimi shock the senses with shiso sorbet; yellowtail tartare sets the tongue ablaze with jalapeños and apricot jam; and a full list of tantalizing saké and wine selections are available to cool things down. Late night brings a decidedly more lounge-like feel to the room, which is great for imbibing concoctions like the green tea martini (Kremlyovskaya lemon vodka and Cointreau) and the BondSt Bloody (with wasabi and soy sauce), but try to come earlier to better focus on what is some of the finest sushi in South Florida.
