Starbucks Coffee Description:
Pioneer of the corner coffeehouse concept, this Seattle-based company arrived in South Florida relatively recently, but has made up for lost time by stamping out these babies in nearly every suburb, nook and cranny in the region. Consistency and products vary from one location to the next, but certain standards are fixed, such as the cloyingly sweet caramel macchiato (which isn’t a macchiato at all) or a simple tall latte (all small drinks are dubbed tall here). Try not to look annoyed when you place your order with the cashier, who then repeats your order back to you in Starbucks language, then hollers your order out loud to the barista, who then repeats it back to the cashier, and again to you when it is ready.
