Texas de Brazil Description:
This authentic churrascaria combines the cuisine of southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas in a dramatic restaurant. The $47 fixed-price menu includes irresistible house-baked Brazilian cheese bread, vegetable sides and sauces for the table, and a 40-item buffet bar stocked with a variety of salads (with house-made dressings), ceviches, sushi, imported salamis and cheeses, and much more. The main attraction, though, is a non-stop parade of roaming gaucho-clad carvers who approach your table and, from formidable-looking sword-skewers, slice all the flame-roasted meats you can imagine. Cuts include many types of steak, as well as Parmesan-crusted pork loin, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, lamb, and Latin-style sausages. Desserts such as Brazilian cheesecake and Key lime pie are priced separately, but you probably won't have room to try them anyway. Pampering service, a very thorough wine list, and a sleek nightclub-like ambience (with a marina view) add up to an extravagant dining experience.
