This downtown churrascaria is a carnival for carnivores, yet starkly different from other steakhouses. It goes by the format called rodizio, which is Brazil's joyous, generous, fixed-price (here $35) approach to all-you-can-eat (especially meat) dining. That includes a huge buffet offering the usual salad bar items along with delicacies like pickled quail eggs. Waiters roam the room lugging big, swordlike skewers laden with meats that have been wood-fire barbecued Brazilian-style. If the little disc that sits by your plate is turned Yes side up, the waiters will start carving and heaping the meats on your plate until you stop them. Beware---if you should get up, say, to help yourself to the salad bar, forgetting to flip your disc to No, you're likely to return to find a crowd of men at your table diligently carving flank steak, filet mignon, liver, sausage, chicken, chicken hearts, lamb, and pork onto your plate. Desserts are extra, but go ahead and try the flan---they don't call it Porcão (pig) for nothing.
