Novecento Restaurant Description:
It has been said that Argentine cuisine can be described in one word: beef. Most Miami Argentine restaurants indeed specialize in parrilla-grilled steaks, but there are exceptions. More than just another parrillada place, this contemporary Argentine resto-lounge serves internationally-influenced lighter Latin fare, including house-made crab meat-stuffed agnolotti in creamy saffron sauce, a velvety ginger-spiked carrot and butternut squash soup, and a new-style grouper ceviche: thin slices of lime-marinated fish, with a cunningly balanced jalapeño and watermelon garnish. There's beef, too---a flavorful vacio (flank steak) a la parrilla, for traditionalists, or a more mod ensalada Novecento (Dijon vinaigrette-dressed greens with avocado and grilled skirt steak).
