Andiamo Pizza Description:
Andiamo shares a building with a long-established car wash that found a little space to accommodate Mark Soyka's contribution to the revitalization along Biscayne Boulevard. Downtown 9-to-5ers make uptown's Andiamo a hot lunchtime spot where they can sit comfortably at an outside patio and enjoy a bay breeze and a deliciously lightweight brick-oven pie, entrée salad or panini. Pies range from the standard Andiamo version with sweet tomatoes and fresh basil with merely a swab of sauce, to the hearty homemade meatball pie accented with sautéed onions, roasted peppers, and provolone and Parmesan cheeses. The glass-walled pizzeria sits prominently on the boulevard and appeals to foot traffic from both east- and west-side boulevard denizens. With a small wine list and a more expansive beer menu, Andiamo emphasizes Miami's distinctive version of urban living---graceful, lazy and out-of-doors.
