Cafe Society Description:
A beloved Midtown classic, Café Society has it all, including a comfortable, romantic ambience, and service that is efficient and considerate. The food, American but reflecting owner Michel Leny's Belgian origins, sparkles these days under chef Cullen Kent. The menu includes longtime favorites such as bacon-wrapped shrimp, as well as Kent's creations such as sea bass with pancetta and green apple and roasted artichoke with poached egg and caviar. The wine list offers plenty of good choices, but nothing that would extend our tastes or experiences. If you get fed up with loud and inappropriate recorded music in restaurants, this is the place for you, since music is either absent or played at subliminal levels.
