Otani Description:
This is one of the oldest of the region's contemporary Japanese restaurants, having stood quietly in the same location for nearly 20 years. The large space is simply decorated but elegant, with light wood tables and muted tones throughout. Otani's extensive menu is consistent and done right. Nigiri, maki and specialty rolls---including the "Volcano Roll" with shrimp crab stick, cucumber, avocado and the almighty volcano sauce---are available in such a variety that it's hard to choose. Entrées include traditional favorites, such as chicken teriyaki, stir-fried vegetables and shrimp tempura as well as hibachi dinners.
