Lakota Bakery Description:
Tucked away in an Arlington storefront, this bakery is a cheery place run by one serious sweet tooth, Barbara Weniger, and her counter staff of earnest high school students. Though they also serve brownies and cupcakes, scrumptious cookies are the specialty, combining hominess and elegance in a way that's hard to match. The macaroons alone---be they chocolate, coconut or lemon---are worth the drive.
