Located at the upper corner of Montgomery County, this farm-turned-inn offers plenty of spacious and quaint dining areas, including a small bar with several tables in the building's midsection. All provide a dressy setting for the kitchen's fanciful concoctions. Consider the appetizers you might find: how to decide between a soy-ginger tuna tartare with avocado purée, sautéed prawns with Meyer lemon-scented risotto, or seared Maine scallops over cauliflower purée with a lobster-Champagne drizzle? The tuna tartare is a must-have, though the Brookeville shrimp and sweet corn bisque captures the heart and soul of summertime. Entrées are as inspired and include a double-bison whammy: grilled onglet and braised short ribs served on a ricotta gnocchi with the texture of clouds.
