Mint Bistro Description:
Mint's bright, modern décor is a tad chilly but the hip crowd overcomes the austere surroundings. Yes, there is tapas here, but it comes in fusion form as in a duo of tartares, one steak and one tuna with a lemon grass ginger aïoli and chili oil. Sample some tempura fried spicy crab maki in the sushi category or a starter of a flatbread, a crab cannoli or lamb lollipops with tzatziki, merging Mediterranean cuisines. Entrées are more classic like a simple steak frites or roasted chicken, or cross the sea with a Korean-style barbecue rib dish with Asian pear. Desserts are also a fusion experience as in coconut and pineapple torte or the Earl Grey panna cotta with Bing cherries, a melding of traditions that works wonders.
