The menu here is so extensive you'll need to bring a big group to share all the dishes, sides and seasonally and locally sourced appetizers. But the wood-grilled steaks are the draw at this sister restaurant of The Front Room Restaurant & Bar. Try the 31-ounce Wolfe's Neck Farm porterhouse with one of the dozen homemade sauces, including a classic béarnaise or a garlicky chimichurri. Start with the juicy and hot fried oysters with bacon, apples and a Tabasco hollandaise or simple sweetbreads with capers and lemon. Go on to a wood-grilled whole sea bass stuffed with lemon and herbs or the roasted duck breast with truffle mashed potatoes and chard. Wood-grilled meat and fish are served à la carte and the sides are so generous, you'll only need a few. Roasted beets are sweet and earthy in a tangy vinaigrette sauce and the potato gratin is a creamy, decadent dish of soft spuds and cheddar. Desserts are also robust and creative. Try the peach ice cream sandwich with gingerbread cookie and molasses syrup for a good mix of fruit and spice.
