Sleek, modern Danish décor and cozy fireplaces make up this jazzy restaurant in the historic shipbuilding community of Bath. From his stint at Portland's Fore Street, chef Esau Crosby gained his appreciation for the local, seasonal ethic, and it shows throughout his carefully edited menu, particularly in dishes like tender sherry-braised veal cheeks with white beans and roasted squash. Pan-seared sea scallops, dusted with ancho chilies, are tarted up with a refreshing citrus sauce and garnished with an intriguing kidney bean mash. Desserts tend toward the classically simple; we'd just as soon skip them in favor of a nightcap in the hip lounge.
