Green Earth Cafe Description:
This little take-out counter on the second floor of the Hollywood & Highland complex is easy to miss. At first glance, it looks like your basic California sandwich shop, offering iced chai and pastries in the morning and a very basic selection of turkey sandwiches and veggie wraps from lunch until late. But closer investigation will reveal that this deli is actually sweet-tooth heaven, offering one of Hollywood's finest pastry selections. Past the sandwich counter and around the corner from the cash register are two cases filled with individual-sized versions of all the old favorites, from cream puffs to opera cake. Highlights include the fruit tarts with almond cream, carrot cake and chocolate mousse tart. Mum's the word on Green Earth's supplier, but as outstanding as these pastries are, we don't care where they come from, as long as they keep coming!
