Barbarella Bar Description:
In Silver Lake, the former Zen Sushi has metamorphosed into Barbarella Bar, a 4,300-square-foot restaurant, bar and lounge inspired by the 1968 cult classic film. Expect an array of artisan beers, a large selection of wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails; global dishes include big and small plates such as Scottish organic salmon, burgers and Thai mussels.

I am in LOVE with Barbarella Bar and their new Chef Michael. A few of my girlfriends decided to make it a ladies night out last Wednesday and thought we'd give Barbarella a try. Their Martini's are enormous, 10 oz. I loved the ginger cucumber one so much I had 3. Ooops. We started with a meat and cheese plate, which came out with the chef, who went over each of the meats and cheeses on the plate with us - which was fabulous. He tried to get me to switch to a Merlot, said it would pair much better with the cheese plate, but I was already hooked on my ginger cucumbers, so no. For dinner I had the roasted chicken - sooooo tender and it had this blue cheese faro which was tasty. I had never had faro before, but it was delish. Two of my friends each ordered the barramundi and said it was yummy, but I didn't try it myself. I did try the lamb, which was great. The place is all candle lit and gorgeous. Our new girls night out place -definitely.
