Taylor's Steak House Description:
Steakhouses come and steakhouses go, but Taylor's has been around since 1953. It looks it, kind of, with so-old-it's-retro-cool décor of leatherette booths, dark woodwork and red carpeting. Most guests---from hipsters to oldsters---wouldn't want it any other way. The food, too, is classic steakhouse fare, with ten different cuts of steak (the house's signature is the two-inch-thick culotte) and prime rib, and dinners come with soup or salad, plus vegetables, potato or rice. For non-red-meat-eaters, there's also free-range chicken and seafood like halibut and prawns on the menu, plus daily specials at both lunch and dinner. To wash it all down, choose from a nice selection of mostly California wines.
