Junior's Description:
In 1959, owner Marvin Saul opened this Westside landmark as an eight-table deli just a few blocks from its current location. Today, this bustling restaurant makes and bakes everything on the menu from scratch. From great chicken soup to pastrami and chopped liver, Junior's prepares all the deli classics in top form. Through its four decades, the restaurant has built a reputation of catering to customers' desires. Junior's was the first restaurant in the city to serve brewed decaf instead of the then-common instant stuff. When smoking became an issue, the restaurant was one of the first to create a separate room---not just a separate section---for nonsmokers. This attitude has paid off, and you'll see many media celebs dining here regularly.
