Il Moro is a friendly, chic, Northern Italian eatery and a great lunch spot which was chosen as LA Weekly's Top 10 Best Italian Restaurants in LA.
In a business area of the Westside where you might least expect a great restaurant, the place features good food, a romantic patio, and a wine bar with occasional live music.

Due to its location on Olympic Boulevard (actually the entrance is on Purdue Street), Il Moro has become an exquisite escape for lunch for the surrounding offices with its lovely terrace and spacious high-ceilinged dining room. For the same reasons, you should consider this stylish Italian eatery for dinner. The menu is composed in the usual Italian tradition: soup, pasta, pizza, meat and fish. On top of the menu, be prepared to listen carefully to the long list of specials (a guarantee of fresh ingredients). We favor the homemade cappelletti filled with braised beef in a chicken broth, the watercress salad with toasted pine nuts, the homemade lasagna or the swordfish. A plate of prosciutto di Parma is a nice addition to the table. But one of our favorites is the linguine with the surprising combination of porcini mushrooms and shrimp; its works perfectly with the lightly spicy sauce. For the sweet ending, try the apple pie with caramel-balsamic vinegar sauce, or the light chocolate cake in a liquid hot chocolate served in a cup. The wine list offers California and Italian wines.
