Divino Description:
Goran Milic charmed customers when he greeted them at Giorgio and Toscana. Now they're flocking to his intimate trattoria, which opened in 1996. Hidden in the back of the Barrington Court collection of boutiques and cafés, the eatery looks so tiny from the outside, we were surprised to discover a colorful space with high ceilings, columns, skylights and an open kitchen. A reasonably priced menu features some compelling starters, including crostino di prosciutto, toasted bread topped with prosciutto, melted mozzarella and fresh sage. Thin-crust pizzas made in the wood-burning oven are topnotch, especially the funghi, combining tomato sauce, mozzarella and mushrooms. We also recommend the fluffy gnocchi in Gorgonzola sauce and strozzapreti pasta with shrimp and Italian mushrooms in fish broth. Another option is one of the finest versions of porcini risotto in the city and the aptly named "pollo fantastico," boneless roasted chicken seasoned with herbs and balsamic. Expect the same menu at lunch and dinner.
