Coral Tree Cafe Description:
In a place whose name gives a nod to the trees shading the stretch of San Vicente outside the restaurant's front door, it's no surprise that Coral Tree's signature is healthy, fruit and veggie-heavy cuisine. Make no mistake, however, this is not another of L.A.'s ubiquitous health food joints. Coral Tree is a sidewalk café in the European ideal, but featuring all-American, farm fresh flavors. Try the turkey meatloaf sandwich with arugula, mayo and onion jam or perhaps the vegan, organic vegetable soup. For heartier tastes, there's a steak salad and baked mac 'n' cheese. Breakfast is a specialty, featuring everything from croissants and danishes to-go to focaccia-scrambled egg sandwiches and cream cheese-stuffed French toast. A family-friendly neighborhood spot, Coral Tree offers an entire children's menu to appease those with small appetites.
