Mc Loones Pier House Description:
Sip on a glass of chilled Chateau Ste. Michelle "Canoe Ridge" Chardonnay (Washington) on the deck overlooking the breakers; pair it with an upscale version of the New England specialty, the lobster roll. Here they are made with lobster meat sautéed with fresh herbs and mushrooms in a sherry cream sauce, and served in a toasted Portuguese roll. The menus for both the dining room and the deck are loaded with seafood options but landlubbers can enjoy chicken Negril---chicken breast seasoned with a spicy Jamaican rub, accompanied by glazed pineapple and rice topped with a warm Mandarin orange dressing. Grilled Montreal strip steak, nicely charred, with roasted red bliss potatoes and Jersey corn on the cob is another option. The brief wine list nicely complements the food; cocktails and beers are abundant. The Pier House Cosmo puts summer in a glass with a combination of Absolut Citron, Grand Marnier, Rose's lime juice, a splash of cranberry juice and a lime wheel. Service is informal and efficient.
