The Sky Room Description:
The Sky Room offers a true sense of glamour, atop Long Beach's historic Breakers Hotel, where the likes of Clark Gable, Elizabeth Taylor and Cary Grant used to take in the view over martinis. These days, romance-minded couples might begin with seared foie gras in a port wine reduction, crab-stuffed calamari or caviar before moving on to pepper-crusted ahi with ponzu, New York steak or a veal chop with creamy Cognac sauce, then finishing with a Grand Marnier soufflé. A solid, global wine list is featured, too, but the enduring draw of this beachfront 1930s Art Deco-style landmark remains its old-world charm and never-ending views---shoreline on one side and a resurgent downtown Long Beach on the other. On weekends, live jazz and a red-hot swing scene spice up the room.

This was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. The whole thing from the elevator ride to the restaurant, to the amazing live big band. But, this isn't even the best part the service was outstanding. They really make you feel special. The food was very good. I had the lobster and my girlfriend had the halibut. The view is amazing as well, especially from the rooftop bar. Highly recommend it.

I had a great time at The Sky Room. The atmosphere was great and the server and manager were both very attentive and accommodating. The rooftop cantina is amazing. Try the pompano! The view and live music don't hurt either. :)

I love to dine out and i especially love it when the restaurant you choose exceeds your expectations. I had a remarkable evening drinking fabulous with the best Chilean sea bass that I have ever had. The waiter Marty was a riot and made my girlfriend and I feel like regulars. Food, service, pricing, and wow ambiance were all stellar. This place has a lot to offer, more than just a restaurant it was an experience. Plus a 6 piece band that kept us rocking all night without any additional expense. Count me in for another night of indulging in one of California's finest.
