Belair House Description:
The location of Beauberry House, set in an eighteenth-century Georgian house in parkland, is pretty striking. The interior is equally as eye-catching, if a trifle unexpected. There's a dramatic black and grey bar and a bright white and very orange dining room. Against such a background, the kitchen needs to deliver something equally impressive, and on the whole it succeeds. The cooking mixes contemporary Western cooking with Asian spices as in roast salmon with nam prik and bok choy. Other influences show in a confit of lamb with sautéed aubergine and onion chutney. The wine list is large and wide-ranging. Tues.-Thurs. set 2-course lunch £16.50, 3 courses £19.50. Tues.-Fri. lunch and dinner and Sat. set à la carte menu 2 courses £20, 3 courses £25.
