Cafe Sabor Description:
Whether your tastes tend toward combination platters of tacos and tamales or something with more creative flair, like pollo Durango in a Mexican sour cream sauce with tomatillos and mushrooms, Café Sabor pleases on all levels. The food is fresh, the chips crispy and the homemade salsa addictive. Starters include the chino Latino egg rolls with chicken, black beans and a creamy spinach sauce wrapped inside a flaky wonton skin, or the coconut soup floating tender chicken strips, mushrooms and green onions. With a warm and inviting space that's brightly lit and decorated, the café resembles an Americanized cantina. The margaritas and other alcoholic concoctions lack the punch of a true Mexican restaurant but this is Utah; it's expected. The portions, including desserts, tend to be large, so if you plan to indulge in the fried ice cream with its crisp shell drizzled in fudge, order accordingly.
