T-Bones Description:
Quintessential vintage Vegas images usually involve Rat Pack members sitting in a booth, stogie in one hand, martini in the other---and a showgirl on the side. T-Bones Chophouse & Lounge seeks to re-create that ambience with an update. The red- and black-toned dining room is cozy with live music. But Frank and Dean tunes are interspersed with contemporary music, and the center bar is glistening metallic. Gone is the cloud of smoke that used to hang in the air, replaced by images of smoke rings, and smoke-like steel sculptures. The open level above the dining area holds the wine cellar which houses some 7,500 bottles of wine. Just because this is a chophouse, don't miss the good selection of starters. Crispy rock shrimp tempura is spicy and surprisingly light. The jumbo lump crab cake is definitely more crab than cake, served with a pungent whole-grain mustard sauce. The big steaks here are, of course, served on the bone, and the 28-ounce rib-eye is a winner. To enhance your piece of meat, top it off with the addition of béarnaise peppercorn sauce or seared foie gras. There's also a good seafood selection that includes two sizes of Australian lobster tail and steamed Alaskan king crab. Complete the meal with any of the generous sides, like tater tots with truffles or the potato and broccoli pancakes.
