Kristofer's exudes a quiet Mediterranean atmosphere with its brass-and-tulip ceiling fans, rattan club chairs, parquet wood- and copper-inlay tables and indirect lighting filtered through etched, frosted panels. For starters, we like the shrimp scampi flavored with garlic and white wine, also offered as an entrée, and the farm-raised scallops in their shell, drizzled with a garlic-lemon-basil butter. The Atlantic salmon char-broiled on a cedar plank is a favorite. Go for the char-grilled 20-ounce porterhouse or the 12-ounce frenched lollipop pork chop with a sweet Madeira sauce and oyster mushrooms. Cajun jambalaya is created with sautéed lobster, shrimp, chicken, chorizo, a wild rice blend, Cajun spices and a touch of saffron. Put out the fire with a slice of refreshing Key lime pie served with fresh berries. Or splurge on the Snickers bar pie with vanilla and chocolate sauces and seasonal berries.
