Le Village Buffet Description:
"French-influenced American classic" might best describe the cuisine turned out in the elegant Le Burger Brasserie Sports Grille's busy kitchen. There's a cozy, comfortable sitting area and massive bar at the entrance, and the glassed-in wine closet complements the rich, dark wood of the 200-seat dining room. For starters, we like the organic Bibb lettuce with Granny Smith apples, Gruyère and lemon-mustard dressing. The eight-ounce ground Angus beef burgers range from the classic to the imaginative with an array of ingredients. One of our favorites is the "Le Paris" with Brie, caramelized onions and smoked bacon. Extensive topping choices include grilled onions, mixed greens, portobello mushroom and roasted peppers, while among extensive sauce choices are balsamic vinaigrette, blue cheese, Caesar, cranberry, lemon aïoli and pesto. Burgers are also created with lamb, salmon, chicken and vegetables. Complement your burger with a root beer float or a shake. The Kobe beef and Maine lobster burger with caramelized onions, Brie, prosciutto, 100-year aged balsamic vinegar and a bottle of Dom Pérignon Rosé Champagne or 1982 Château Latour for $777 is worth the splurge. Save room for the brioche donuts with vanilla custard and mixed berry sauce or the chocolate coconut macaroon with chocolate mousse and caramel peanut sauce.
