Wide choice of grilled entrees including steak, chicken, seafood and many other choices.Pasta, sandwiches, salads and appetizers. Full bar with sports on TVs. Smoking area around the bar and non-smoking away from the bar. Expect to wait for a table at dinner time on many evenings especially the weekend.
Applebee's is a neighborhood favorite. Families come for the easy-to-eat menu items such as the burger topped with a portobello mushroom and Swiss cheese, and the fiesta lime chicken topped with Jack-cheddar sauce and served with tortilla chips and Southwest rice. Others might simply like the homey décor featuring memorabilia honoring the nearby high school's sports teams. Go for the grilled Italian chicken Caesar salad and the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, both served with garlic toast. The low-fat menu even includes sirloin and shrimp skewers served with rice pilaf. We like the berry-lemon cheesecake served over strawberry slices and drizzled with a crushed raspberry sauce. The sizeable pub-style bar offers plenty for the grown-ups, including a line of signature drinks with such names as Blue Moonlight Margarita.
