MexItalia Description:
Located on the second-floor Promenade, MexItalia X-Press features two spacious rooms and fusilli pasta-shaped hanging lamps with amber shades casting dim light. The restaurant prides itself on its speed of service, so no one misses the action on the Circus Circus floor. For starters, we like the grilled chicken tortilla soup and Caesar salad with grilled chicken breast. The Italian combo---lasagna, manicotti and sausage with peppers---is a favorite, as are shrimp scampi with your pasta choice and linguine with clams and red or white sauce. Among pizza toppings are cheese, pepperoni, mushroom and banana peppers. "Mex" combos---hard or soft shell taco, tamale, burrito and enchilada---are served with Southwest rice and refried or black beans. We also like the fish tacos, lightly breaded halibut with lime and jalapeño tartar sauce. Save room for dessert at the nearby Sweet Tooth.
