Couples looking for a cozy meal will appreciate the romantic, open-air atmosphere of this intimate restaurant. It's a pleasant place to linger for a long, leisurely dinner, but with the quality of high-end restaurants improving on the island, Casa di Amici may need to try just a bit harder with its food and service. The menu is a mix of Asian, Italian and modified Pacific Rim cuisine that generally works. The fresh fish specials are invariably good, and salads are a pleasing mix of locally grown organic greens. Pastas and more than a dozen chicken, fish, veal and beef entrées round out the menu. The portions are large, and the food can't be faulted, even if it's not always especially memorable. Service can be slow, but is otherwise adequate. The wine list is ample and varied, although prices are on the high side.
