Co-owners Kenny Sloane (executive chef) and Lynette Sumner (general manager-sommelier) share a passion for simple food built with the best ingredients. Let your epicurean adventure begin at lunch with well-rounded offerings like the house signature sweet corn soup with jumbo lump crab, a silky smooth composition that sings of the field. Choosing between the Brandt Farms beef burger, duck barbecue or oyster po' boy on ciabatta is always difficult. A window seat at dinner, or a seat on the outside patio, ensures a beautiful view of the sunset over Currituck Sound. The design echoes the outdoors with cool, calming colors, earthy wood and stone. As Sumner assists with a wine selection, a wealth of options await on the Aqua S Nights menu. Oysters Rockefeller, a cheese plate or the seared foie gras on organic french toast are just the beginning of the adventure. Beautifully composed entrées utilize fresh ingredients, like shrimp and jumbo lump crab with fettuccine, sugar snaps and asparagus. Other dishes include beef tenderloin with blue cheese mac 'n' cheese and Aqua S bacon, or seared duck confit. It's nothing but fun for dessert with funnel cake, bread pudding, and dessert "'tinis."
