Carrabba's Italian Grill Description:
You're in the very heart of tourist country here, so unless you go early or late, you always will stand in line for a table. It's worth the wait, though, for well-prepared Italian specialties, from a simple wood-fire margherita pizza to sirloin Marsala with prosciutto and mushrooms. Generous starters include shrimp scampi with garlic toast for dipping, fresh steamed mussels, crispy calamari and crab cakes with roasted red pepper sauce. You'll find plenty of pastas on the menu but also surprisingly good grilled beef or chicken. Several entrée-size salads---such as the insalata Johnny Rocco with grilled shrimp and scallops, roasted red peppers, olives and ricotta salata cheese, or the insalata Carrabba with mozzarella and romano cheese, kalamata olives and grilled chicken---are a lighter option. The house red wine is a decent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo; you'll get $10 off bottles of wine on Wednesdays. For something sweet, try one (or all) of the bacino---mini versions of the restaurant's popular desserts.
