Square One Description:
Square One bartender Patrick Hayes is a local celeb, known the island over for his unique brand of playful bartending. Sample his Monkey Nuts, if you dare. It's rich and creamy consisting of hazelnut and banana liqueurs and coconut cream, blended and sprinkled with nutmeg before the rum goes in. For appetizers, the roasted whole garlic with feta and dill purée is the house standard. Green Eggs & Ham (bacon-wrapped diver scallop with wasabi tobiko) or the Marcona almond-crusted goat cheese salad represent the range found in the starters. Standout main courses include duck confit with goose spring roll and hoisin-ginger caramel, or the daily "customized" entrées (lamb, snapper, surf 'n' turf). The wine list, illustrated with actual labels, is a picture book of temptation.
